In a strange variation, Disney has just recently changed the name of “The Magic Kingdom” to simply “Magic Kingdom.” While the change occurred a few weeks ago, social media didn’t really pick up on the change right away.
Obviously, it’s a simple variation of the name of the park, but by simply dropping the “The” from the title, many signs throughout the parks, as well as the ticket and transportation center will slowly need to be changed over. The interesting part of the story is that the smaller portion of the sign depicting the “population” of The Magic Kingdom has also disappeared.
Of course, Disney did not acknowledge the change publicly (at least to my knowledge), and there has been no reason stated for the variation of the title. It looks as if Disney tried to slip one under the radar of Disney guests and now even many major news sources have picked up on the variation.
So, what do you think? Trivial change or something that may irritate some guests?
