After years as an iconic treat of the Disney Parks, Dole Whip has popped up at a second location on property beyond the Polynesian, Animal Kingdom, and Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Reports have surfaced over the last few days that at Disney’s Pop Century Resort’s Everything Pop (the resorts dining location) Dole Whip has arrived.
While it has yet to be confirmed if this is a lasting addition to the menu, it is currently available for guests to purchase at typical Dole Whip prices:
Floats remain: $5.49
Cups/Bowls remain: $4.49
My personal hope is that this will be the first step towards Dole Whip at many of the resort hotels across property at various counter service locations. Although, I am a bit torn by that concept. There’s just something iconic about getting a dole whip in Magic Kingdom or in that Polynesian setting. It simply fits the atmosphere and creates an iconic experience that is distinctly Disney, and iconically memorable at its original location.
Building on that idea, I would love to see additional unique flavors of soft serve pop up at resorts across property. Of course, that’s more wishful thinking that anything but it’ll be interesting to see if this Dole Whip appearance is simply a test or the beginning of something that could remain in the future.
Personally, I see Dole Whip as one of the best treats on Disney property. It’s been a Disney theme park staple for years, but somehow remains one of the highlights of any Disney vacation and has a way of creating memories with friends and family time and time again.
