There are places at Walt Disney World that you visit because they’re famous. There are places you visit because they’re on your dining list. And then there are the places you keep coming back to simply because, somewhere along the way, they became part of your story.
For me, Enchanted Rose is one of those places.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve walked through the doors of this Beauty and the Beast-inspired lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I’ve been there for a quick cocktail before dinner, drinks with friends, evenings watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and quiet drinks with my husband on an adults-only Disney trip.
I’ve celebrated there. I’ve had conversations there that changed the direction of my career. I’ve raised a glass there to entirely new chapters of my life.
And perhaps fittingly for someone whose favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast, I’ve always felt a little enchanted by the place.
Stepping Into the Story
As much as I love the drinks and atmosphere at Enchanted Rose, I have to admit that the theming is probably what draws me in first. Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie, so a lounge inspired by the film was practically designed to get my attention.
What I appreciate most is that Disney didn’t try to recreate the movie literally. You won’t feel like you’ve walked into a room covered in character artwork and movie merchandise. Instead, the design takes elements from the story and translates them into an elegant, grown-up space that still feels unmistakably Beauty and the Beast.
The lounge is divided into distinct areas, each inspired by different parts of the story. The main bar area draws heavily from the Beast’s castle, while the library pays tribute to Belle’s love of books. There’s also the Garden Room, inspired by the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio that brings in elements of the castle gardens. Each space has its own personality, but they all feel connected.

And then there are the details.
The bar itself is one of my favorite parts of the room. Above it hangs a dramatic chandelier inspired by Belle’s gold ball gown, while other design elements throughout the lounge subtly reference the film without screaming for attention. The library, in particular, feels like somewhere Belle herself might have happily settled in with a book.
That’s what makes Enchanted Rose so enjoyable to me. It’s a space that rewards you for actually looking around.
Every time I visit, I find myself noticing something I hadn’t paid attention to before. The longer you sit there, the more little references start to reveal themselves. It’s Disney theming for adults—not because children aren’t welcome, but because the design trusts you to appreciate the details without needing everything explained to you.
And because of an affinity for the film, there’s an added layer of nostalgia every time I walk through the doors. I know the story behind the rose. I know why the library matters. I know what the chandelier is referencing. Those details aren’t just decorations to me—they’re pieces of a movie I’ve loved for years, reimagined in a way that feels perfectly at home in a resort lounge.
It’s also one of the reasons Enchanted Rose works so well for different kinds of visits. Sitting at the bar with friends feels completely natural. Having a cocktail with my husband feels unique without being overly formal. And stopping in with family doesn’t feel like you’ve accidentally wandered into an adults-only environment.
It’s elegant, but comfortable. Themed, but not overdone. Disney, without feeling like you need to be surrounded by Mickey ears to know you’re at Disney.
That’s the magic of Enchanted Rose. It doesn’t simply remind the guest of Beauty and the Beast. It lets them step into a small piece of the story.
A Little Enchantment in Every Glass
No visit to Enchanted Rose is complete without a cocktail. I’ve worked my way through almost the entire drink menu over multiple visits, and while there are plenty of drinks I enjoy, one has become something of a staple for me: the Lavender Fog.
There’s just one change I make. I order it with bourbon instead of gin.
That little swap has become my secret trick, and it completely changes the drink. The lavender still gives it that floral character, but the bourbon adds a warmth and richness that makes it much more my style. At this point, if I’m sitting down at Enchanted Rose and don’t know what I want, the Lavender Fog with bourbon is an easy answer.
Their espresso martini is another standout. It’s exactly the kind of cocktail that makes it dangerous to tell yourself you’re only stopping in for one drink. I also always keep an eye out for the seasonal Old Fashioned. They’re a little more expensive than the standard version, but I’ve found them worth trying whenever there’s a seasonal variation that catches my attention.
One of the things that’s unique about the place, though, is that you’re not limited to what’s printed on the menu. They have a full bar, which means you can order something completely different if you know what you want.
I’ve certainly taken advantage of that.
On one visit, I finished a remaining bottle of Blanton’s because I had my eye on the topper. Yes, I realize that sounds like a ridiculous reason to finish a bottle of bourbon, but if you collect them, you understand. And the best part? They actually gave me the topper.

It’s little experiences like that that make the bar memorable.
The selection behind the bar is also impressive enough that even when I’m not ordering one of the signature cocktails, there’s usually something interesting to discover. A friend of mine has a particular fondness for an expensive bottle of Chartreuse they keep behind the bar, which has become something of an inside joke whenever we’re there together.
And that’s what I enjoy about the cocktail program at Enchanted Rose. Yes, the drinks are themed. Yes, the names and presentation fit the Beauty and the Beast setting. But underneath all of that, there’s a real bar program.
You can order one of the carefully crafted signature cocktails, try a seasonal creation, customize something you already love, or simply order a bourbon, whiskey, liqueur, or other spirit from the full bar.
For someone like me who enjoys exploring cocktails, that gives me another reason to keep coming back. I’ve been there enough times that I know some of my favorites, but there’s always the possibility of finding something new.
The Food Is Worth Lingering Over
The cocktails may be what initially draws a guest to Enchanted Rose, but the food is definitely what keeps them ordering another round of snacks. I’ve worked my way through almost the entire food menu over my many visits, and there are a few things I find myself coming back to again and again.
The warm olives are probably the biggest surprise for me. I’m not what you’d call a huge olive person, so I’m not entirely sure how I’ve ended up loving a dish centered around them. But there’s something about the warm preparation and seasoning that makes them surprisingly hard to stop eating. They’re the kind of thing I’ll order thinking I’ll have a few and then suddenly realize I’ve eaten far more than I intended.
The croquettes and charcuterie are also favorites, especially when I’m settling in with friends and we want something to share. They work perfectly for the kind of lingering, grazing experience Enchanted Rose encourages rather than making the evening feel like a formal meal.
I also love seeing what the seasonal flatbread happens to be. The selection changes, and some of the combinations have been surprisingly creative. It’s become one of those things where I’ll look at the menu and immediately want to know what the current version is. Sometimes the seasonal option is the most interesting thing to order simply because you know it might not be there the next time you visit.
And then there are the truffle fries.
The delicious, completely addictive truffle fries.

They may not be the most complicated item on the menu, but they are absolutely one of my favorites. Sometimes you need an elaborate cocktail and a beautifully themed small plate. Sometimes you just need a basket of truffle fries sitting next to your drink.
Yet another reason the food works so well at Enchanted Rose. You can make the experience as elaborate or as casual as you want. You can order several things to share with friends, grab a small bite before dinner, or sit down with a cocktail and a plate of fries and call it an evening. Just like the cocktail menu, the food gives another reason to keep coming back. The seasonal offerings change, favorites remain worth revisiting, and there’s always the possibility that the next visit will introduce something new.
Which, of course, is exactly how I justify going back again.
Where Memories Are Made
At this point, Enchanted Rose isn’t just a place I enjoy visiting. It’s become a place connected to some pretty significant moments in my life.
My first visit was January 18, 2023. I was at Disney with a group of friends I had met through an online Disney group, and this was the first time we’d actually met in person. The entire trip was built around one very important mission: riding Splash Mountain one last time before it closed.
I had planned for this to be my first-ever Disney “down and back”—flying down for the day and returning home that same night. But Splash Mountain had other plans. It was down for much of the day, and rather than accept that I might miss my last ride, I canceled my return flight and rebooked it for the following day.
Thankfully, the ride eventually reopened, and I got my final trip down the mountain.
Afterward, our group headed to Enchanted Rose for drinks. Somewhere between cocktails and conversation, the topic of careers came up. A couple of the people sitting around that table encouraged me to look into project management. At the time, it wasn’t something I had seriously considered, but their encouragement stuck with me.
When I got home, I signed up for a one-year online project management course. I completed it. And this year, one of the very friends sitting at that table at Enchanted Rose offered me a project management position.
It’s hard to think of a better example of how a seemingly ordinary Disney evening can end up changing your life.
On May 13, 2023, my husband and I stopped at Enchanted Rose for drinks at the end of an adults-only Disney getaway. After spending the trip together without our usual responsibilities, ending the trip there with a cocktail felt like the perfect way to slow things down before heading home.

That wasn’t the last time that original group would find its way back to Enchanted Rose. The following year, on January 19, 2024, several of us—including some of the same friends from that first night—met there for drinks before heading out on a Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise.
Then, in May, four of us, including two friends from that original Enchanted Rose night, met there again for pre-dinner drinks before an incredible dinner at Victoria & Albert’s.
By then, Enchanted Rose had quietly become part of our tradition.
One of the friends from that first night has become one of my closest friends and someone I frequently travel to Disney with. This past May, he was with me when I found out my dream of moving to Florida was coming true: I had been approved for the house I fell in love with.
So naturally, we needed celebratory drinks.
And where else would we go but Enchanted Rose?
Most recently, this July, I went to Enchanted Rose with someone else who has quickly become one of my closest friends, Collin, the owner of the website you’re reading this on. We shared a visit, caught up, and watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Looking back at all of those visits, I realize that I’ve experienced Enchanted Rose in almost every way you could imagine. I’ve been there with new friends who would become lifelong friends. I’ve been there with my husband. I’ve celebrated career opportunities, a new home, and simple nights out. I’ve watched fireworks there, and I’ve used it as the starting point for another Disney adventure.
The people and circumstances have changed, but the place has remained the same. And maybe that’s why I keep coming back.
Because sometimes a Disney restaurant or lounge becomes more than somewhere you happened to have a drink. It becomes a backdrop for your life—a place that quietly collects memories as you return to it over and over again.
For me, Enchanted Rose has done exactly that.
More Than a Place to Have a Drink
There are plenty of places at Walt Disney World where you can have a good cocktail. There are beautiful restaurants, elaborate lounges, and plenty of places to sit down when your feet need a break.
What keeps bringing me back isn’t any one of these things by itself. It’s the combination of the setting, the Beauty and the Beast details, the cocktails, the food, the fireworks and, more importantly, the people I’ve shared those moments with.
That’s what I think makes a Disney lounge memorable. Years from now, I probably won’t remember exactly which cocktail I ordered on a particular night or what happened to be on the menu. I’ll remember who I was sitting with, what we were celebrating, what we were talking about, and how I felt in that moment.
Enchanted Rose just happens to be a particularly beautiful place to make those memories.
And maybe that’s the most fitting thing about a lounge inspired by Beauty and the Beast: sometimes the real magic isn’t in the setting at all. It’s in the story you create while you’re there.
For me, Enchanted Rose has become part of mine.
